What makes you choose to use Dialogkonferansen as a kind of kickoff for your team?
We're in challenging times, and then it's more important than ever to gather the team. Dialogkonferansen gives us a common arena to gain inspiration, strengthen unity, and look ahead. This year's theme, "What makes your customer tick," is especially relevant for us now, as we want to understand our customers even better – and here we get both inspiration, tips, and advice for that work. It's an investment and an opportunity to start the autumn with new energy and shared focus.
How do you use the days at the conference?
We try to achieve a good balance. The presentations give us professional input and new perspectives, which we like to discuss further during breaks or in the evening. We also set aside some time to discuss what we're taking home with us, and how we can use it in our work. It becomes a nice mix of learning, discussing, and just being together a bit outside the office. The social aspect is important, and it's often where we really strengthen the relationships in the team.
What has been the most valuable thing about participating as a group?
It creates a completely different dynamic when we experience this together. We get shared references and inspiration to build on when we're back at work. And it's really about strengthening the relationships in the team – getting to know each other a bit better, both on and off the agenda. It makes it easier to collaborate and solve challenges together when everyday life kicks in again.
Do you have any tips for other leaders who are considering bringing their team?
See it as an investment in people, not just as a conference. When everyday life is hectic and margins are tight, it's easy to not prioritize such things. But lifting your gaze together, getting new impulses, and feeling a sense of community has great value, especially in somewhat difficult times.
