New to Dialogkonferansen?
Welcome! Whether you’re attending alone, with colleagues, or for the first time, we promise you an experience you won’t soon forget. Here are some of the most common questions we get from first-time attendees:
What happens on the different days?
The conference runs from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon. Sunday is the "arrival day" with check-in, light refreshments, an academic program, and a boat trip with BBQ. Monday and Tuesday are packed with inspiring keynotes, parallel sessions, workshops, and a gala dinner with a costume theme.
This is what happens on Sunday, September 7th:
- Check-in and light refreshments from 2:00 PM
- Presentations by Federico Lozano, Samuel Salzer, and Jostein Magnussen
- Relaxing yoga session and sponsor mingling
- Boat trip in the archipelago and BBQ on the terrace
- Music and mingling in the hotel bar
This is what happens on Monday and Tuesday:
- Keynotes from speakers including Irmelin Bergh, Dominik Olejko, Henrik Larsson Broman, and Paul Craven
- Presentations from companies such as Google, Vipps, Gjensidige, SAS, and Bertel O. Steen
- Workshops, case presentations, and parallel sessions
- Costume party, grilled food, and dancing on Monday evening
I don't know anyone. Is that weird?
Not at all. Many people come alone, and we make sure you'll get to know others. Yoga sessions, boat trips, group work, shared meals, and an inclusive party evening make it easy to connect with others.
How do I get there?
There are express buses from both Oslo and Copenhagen, arriving just before check-in on Sunday. The hotel is located by the waterfront in Strömstad, just a few minutes' walk from the city center. The return bus departs on Tuesday afternoon.
