Absolut Vodka

Elin Furelid is the Global Director of Portfolio Innovation at Absolut Vodka and is responsible for the company's product portfolio and innovations. She has also been involved in Absolut Vodkas' partnership with Ardagh Group, which includes moving to a partly hydrogen energy-fired glass furnace for large-scale production. Previous to her current role, Elin has worked at The Absolut Company since 2005 in various positions. For example, she has led the team responsible for all core products for Absolut, including limited editions and product design guidance. She is a highly experienced people manager, project leader, and marketeer. Elin is also a former professional European handball player and has a law degree from Stockholm University.

Absolut Vodka is Sweden's single largest food export, with 99 percent of all bottles produced being exported worldwide. The company has over 500 proud co-workers, and its brands are sold in more than 140 markets. The Absolut Company is responsible for the production, packaging innovation, and strategic marketing of Absolut Vodka, Malibu, and Kahlúa.

Absolut Vodka is one of the world's top ten international spirits brands. Every bottle of Absolut Vodka comes from one source, Åhus, in southern Sweden. Malibu is the world's number one rum-based coconut spirit, and Kahlúa coffee liqueur is the world leader in its category. The Absolut Company portfolio also includes Åhus Akvavit. The company's visitor center, Absolut Home, located next to the main production site for Absolut Vodka, was opened in 2018. The Absolut Company is a part of Pernod Ricard, the world's second-largest wine and spirits producer.
